The Weekend: Apple Edition

Happy Monday and happy Columbus Day! For those of you who have today off, your weekend isn't quite over, but mine is so you're getting my weekend update today. Lucky you!

If you couldn't tell from the picture above, the bf and I went to Smolak Farms on Saturday morning.  I'm pretty sure we were the only people above the age of 7 poking our heads through the pumpkins for a photo op. Besides doing really awesome things like this, we also went apple crazy. We went home with a 1/2 peck of apples, a package of cider donuts, a 1/2 gallon of apple cider, and caramel dip for the apples. And yes, those cider donuts are gone. SO DELISH.

Now when one has a 1/2 peck of apples, what does she do with them? She bakes treats.  So post-church on Sunday, I slipped on my apron, got my Betty Crocker on, and whipped up some apple cobbler.  It's a wonder I haven't turned into an apple yet, right?

In non-apple related news, I also watched A LOT of football, did some cleaning, had an impromptu dance party by myself when this song came on (because it's the BEST to dance to), and swapped out the summer clothes in my closet for winter clothes.

I'm linking up with these pretty ladies for The Weekend Update!

Have a great Monday!

That sounds like a great weekend! I need to do the wardrobe swap too, where does one even start with that GIANT task :) Impromptu dance parties have to be the best, especially when done by ones self :) Have a great day!

That looks soooooo fun! I am so jealous, it's not fall like weather here yet in Florida so apple orchards just do not feel right in shorts and a tank top!
