Affordable Denim

Good news, friends. Casual summer turned into casual every season. This.thrills.me. This also means that instead of spending my dolla bills on not-so-exciting black dress pants, I can spend my dolla bills on pieces that can be worn on the weekends too! WIN.

So I've decided that I need a new pair of jeans. Seems simple enough, right? No. It's not. Shopping for jeans usually turns into my worst nightmare.  Being 5'10" with a 35" inseam is not fun. I repeat, NOT FUN. Designers tend to forget about us freakishly tall people, therefore making it quite the chore to go jeans shopping.  Unless of course I'm feeling like dropping a few hundo on a pair. I've done it, but I would really rather not.  So, I've scrounged up a few LONG affordable pairs here on the internetz. Specifically from Dorothy Perkins, but it was more fun to say internetz.

Affordable Denim
Dorothy Perkins sure knows how to hook a sister up. amiright? First up, we have the Indigo Seam Pocket Superskinny for a whopping $49. I mean, really? $49 is as bad as it gets? Not too shabby. And then we plummet down to $27 with the Dark Blue Skinny Jeans. I didn't even know they made jeans of this length at this price. Mind blown. And finally we settle in the middle at $44 with the Bailey Indigo Ultra Stretch Superskinny Jean.

In true Morgan fashion, I'm leaning towards the most expensive pair, but when most expensive means $49, I can't feel too bad about it. Which pair do you prefer?

I'm with you - I love the first pair!!! And $49? That is such a good price!! I've been going through my jeans, and I feel like I need a new pair, too. I haven't bought any in a while!

I like the $49 pair the best and then the $44 dollar ones. The cheaper ones don't appear to have a very flattering cut to them. But, like you, I generally go for the more expensive. :-)

I'm soo excited about this post.. totally just bookedmarked her site. I'm 5'8 as well and am ALWAYS looking for jeans that are long enough and ones that won't break the bank. I too have dropped the big bucks on jeans but I just hate doing that! Can't wait to try these. Thanks so much for sharing this awesome designer!

$49 is a great price for jeans, I say get them! And I'm the opposite of you, I have to find jeans to fit my short short legs, haha. :)

Being on the total opposite side of the height spectrum...hellllo 5'2" I can feel your pain! They don't make affordable jeans for us vertically challenged guys (girls?) either! I'd totally go with the first pair, the fading at the top of the thigh is my favorite! It makes them look slightly worn, but not in a 'hey gross go wash your pants' kind of way :)

I like the $44 pair, but they are all cute! Let me know how they work out...I'm always on the hunt for long jeans (5'11)!

I think I agree with you, the most expensive pair :) Unfortunately I always tend to go that direction too! You are so lucky to be 5'10"! I have come to terms with being vertically challenged at 5'4" :)

I am not that tall, but I have long legs for my body and can never find a good pair, that being said I am a real stickler for buying what I know fits rather than hunting...even if that means spending the big bucks :/ I like the darker $44 but at second look I like them all...maybe leaning towards the $49 ones....sorry if this doesn't help...jeans are so hard hope you like whichever you get :)

I like the $49 dollar ones too! Have you tried hitting up some resale shops? I always find higher end denim there for waaaaay cheaper. Do ya'll have Plato's Closet up there?? Yay for casual day everyday!
