The Weekend: Mansion Edition
Happy Monday, friends! I hope all of your weekends were filled with wonderfullness. Here's how mine went down...
Friday: After a quick workout, I spent the majority of the night digging into The Ragamuffin Gospel, which the lovely Natalie recommended to me. My review so far? Excellent. I certainly recommend it as well, and I'm not even through 100 pages.
Saturday: The bf and I headed up to Ipswich to tour the grounds of The Crane Estate. That's the beautiful mansion you see pictured. After Carolyn posted about her trip here, I knew I wanted to check it out. Pictures don't do this place justice. It is gorgeous, and it's definitely one of the coolest things I've seen since moving to the Northeast. After touring the grounds, we headed to Plum Island for some ray-catching and relaxation.
We enjoyed a nice dinner at the Cactus Club back in the city, and then headed to see Rick Springfield play a free show at the Hatchshell. Yes, that's the guy who sings Jessi's Girl, and yes, that is the only reason we went. It was worth it.
Sunday: I enjoyed a very wonderful morning at church. After church (and a nap), the bf and I had lunch at a rooftop patio in Fenway while the Red Sox played right across the street. Being so close to both the park and a television airing the game really makes the TV delay quite obvious ;)
So there you have it - my weekend! What was the highlight of yours?
Be sure to check out everyone else's weekend happenings as well!
