Friday's Fancies: Wedding Guest Attire

Am I the only one who finds dressing for a wedding extremely difficult? A challenging task it should not be, but my thought process goes something like this:

"What should I wear? I don't want to be overdressed, but then again I don't want to be underdressed. But it's always better to be overdressed than underdressed. And I can't wear white. But can I wear black? I thought black was for funerals. And I need to make sure it's not too short. No one wants a hooker look-a-like at their wedding. And what shoes? I don't want to wear heels, because then I'll be like 6'3", but flats may give off the "underdressed" vibe. I need to go shopping. I have NOTHING wedding-appropriate in my closet."

So now, you have officially been inside the mind of "Morgan in wedding guest outfit preparation mode". Go ahead and check that off of your bucket list.

So in a perfect world, this ensemble would be hanging in my closet, and I would be wedding guest-prepared for anything. Ya know, say if Ryan Reynolds asked me to be his date last minute or something. YOU NEVER KNOW.

And so then I could be like, "Sure, Ryan. Let me just grab my Jimmy Choos, and we can be on our way."

See, my perfect world rocks. Let me know if you want to visit.

Happy weekend!

Love your look! Those same questions float around in my head but I always refer to that quote "You can never be overdressed or overeducated", LOL:) Have a great weekend!

Oh to be tall....some of my problems would be solved. (Not really, but it would be nice:) I think you can wear black to weddings and add a little color of your choice. Come to think of it, I haven't been to a wedding in a while.

It's funny because I'm pretty short (5'2") and I avoid hills because I walk like a man in them lol! I need to wear them though!

I love this outfit - def perfect for go-to situations like weddings!

This is just the funniest thing I've read! you're hilarious. I love the outfit you've put together. It's actually funny, in my culture when you're getting ready for a wedding you seriously dress up! we're talking ball gowns here! so it's interesting to see the difference :)
but I myself love this outfit the green dress is perfect with the gold accessories!

I feel your pain! I just started browsing around for the perfect little dress to wear to a summer day time wedding and there really aren't that many choices around. I ended up purchasing a Milly tweed dress with the back cut out. I love your perfect world, mine would be littered with Louboutins.

You TOTALLY sound like me! And then it's... do I wear heels? I mean heels are dressy but those are really hard to dance in (cue husband saying: "You can just take them off") YES! I can... but wait is that tacky?? HA Hope you have a fantastic week!
